This world craves connection. We always have. Eyes meet, a smile made, a knowing glance to a stranger in a similar circumstance… we connect more than we realize. We do it everyday.

Then why do we feel so lost?

We’ve forgotten how to connect with ourselves. If connecting with another person is two points coming together, then how do we connect with ourselves? Where are the points that need to meet when we are only one being?

We have two pairs of points that can converge. Our physical self with our higher self, and our higher self with our Source. In essence, this is the trinity of Christianity, except it is not outside of ourselves and not bestowed upon Jesus (Yeshua) alone. We are also humanity and divinity combined. Jesus was what we have the potential to be as humans; he was simply showing us what we already are.

When we sit still and listen, we can hear our higher self guiding us. We can actively ask our higher self to show us the way. We can imagine the line of light that comes from our Source, through our higher self, and into us. There is no separation, it is a continuous line.

Like a bridge that crosses a river to get us from one side to the other, this unity is the job of our higher self. Without our bridge, we are standing, looking, waiting, and wondering. With a bridge, we have access to what lies on the other bank. We simply forget that the bridge exists. We forget who we are. We are Divinity incarnate, always tethered to our Source. We have within us the gift of knowing, the gift of sight. Sometimes we just need to be shown where to look to finally see the points of connection.
