Words spoken hold no value without the feeling, heart and intention behind them. Words are a language, life is the feeling. Words can point the way, but only the life is what’s important, the energy behind what is spoken. Feelings can be felt without words, without language. To show others the way, we use words in hopes that the listener will also feel what we feel, but we will never truly know because every person feels differently. What is important to one, is not important to another. To understand each other, we speak what we feel hoping they too feel the same way. This is how we connect. Because one person doesn’t share a feeling, doesn’t make them wrong, it simply is the way it is. For all of humanity to feel exactly the same way about exactly the same things makes for a dull classroom. We cannot learn in such a situation. But it is not for us to convince others that we are right, making them wrong. To know that there are as many feelings and thoughts and truths as there are cells in our bodies, is to understand humanity. Let us learn from each other, listen to each other, have compassion for each other and use our words reverently.
